Objective

To explore surreal visual storytelling through Generative AI by creating cohesive image grids that balance concept, mood,

and composition, while pushing aesthetic boundaries beyond conventional design workflows.

Goal

• Create visually striking image grids that function as standalone art pieces

Problem

Traditional design workflows often limit rapid exploration of surreal concepts due to:

• Time-intensive manual iterations

• Creative fatigue during ideation phases

• Difficulty maintaining visual consistency across experimental concepts

There was a need for a system that allowed fast, flexible, and high-fidelity visual exploration while preserving strong art direction.

Solution

Using Midjourney, I developed a structured prompt system and visual ruleset to:

• Control composition, lighting, and color harmony

• Generate cohesive image grids rather than isolated visuals

• Translate abstract ideas into consistent surreal narratives

Each grid was curated, refined, and art-directed to function as a visual case study, not just AI output.
